Sailing

The Andrew Simpson Watersports Centre

The Andrew Simpson Watersports Centre offer taster sessions to beginners that allow you to go out on the water, learn how to sail and have some fun and games at the same time.  Alternatively, multi-activity sessions are also available including Sailing, Kayaking and Stand-Up Paddle boarding.

This centre is located on Portland about a 10 minute drive from Cove Park.

The Official Test Centre (OTC)

The Official Test Centre (OTC) is located within the grounds of the National Sailing Academy, and literally right on the waterline of Portland Harbour. They offer equipment hire and tuition in a variety of popular watersports and can cater for all abilities.

Taster Session are available in Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, and Paddle Boarding.

Weymouth Watersports & Fitness Club, situated in an ideal spot next to Portland Harbour, offer kayak hire and tours to both beginners and experienced individuals. Their fully qualified and experienced instructors are available to help you try something new, and offer equipment hire if you want to do your own thing.

Coasteering and Adventures

Immerse yourself in the incredible Jurassic Coast at the iconic Portland Bill. Coasteering sessions combine scrambling, swimming and jumping from the amazing rock formations that make up the southern tip of the Isle of Portland. Coasteering allows you to explore Portland’s caves, navigate rocky outcrops and leap from cliff ledges.  All necessary safety equipment and dedicated, experienced coasteering guides are provided.
